Caught Speeding in La Palma by Radar

Caught Speeding in La Palma by Radar

A radar device was installed this week in the Tunel Viejo de la Cumbre in La Palma to help stop excessive speeds of vehicles in this tunnel.

This measure, carried out by the Traffic detachment of the Municipality of Santa Cruz de La Palma, was requested by the Government of La Palma to guarantee the safety of the workers operating currently within this tunnel.

Drivers in La Palma are advised that the maximum speed when driving through the Tunel Viejo de la Cumbre is 20 kilometres per hour, because this ensures those currently working on repairs to this tunnel remain safe. Any driver caught speeding and endangering lives in this tunnel can expect significant fines from radar evidence.
