Migrants with Hypothermia Discovered in Lanzarote

Migrants with Hypothermia Discovered in LanzaroteIn the early morning this week, a fisherman from the north of Lanzarote reported the sighting of a migrant boat drifting near to the port of La Santa in Tinajo.

Agents of the Guardia Civil of San Bartolome and Costa Teguise worked with the Fiscal and Border Patrol (PAFIF), Policia Local of Tinajo and Emergency Services of the Red Cross who then arrived at Tinajo where the boat had been towed.

This blue wooden boat had carried 25 men and 2 women, including 23 children, and most were in good health, but one was transferred to the General Hospital of Arrecife with symptoms of hypothermia.
