The President of the Government of Tenerife, Carlos Alonso, and the Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Maria Oliver, signed a collaboration agreement this week to invest one million euros in three projects in the Municipality of Puerto de la Cruz, whose completion is scheduled for 2020.
These works will improve the Agatha Christie Promenade (373,820 euros), after being considered an historical heritage site, and will improve the changing rooms and toilets of Playa Jardin (345,000 euros), which present evident deterioration, as well as the urban environment (281,179 euros) for other toilets.
In a press conference at the Government, Alonso thanked the “effort of the State to provide resources for the second year in a row in the municipality in the north of Tenerife for a total investment of two million euros from last year.”
Isabel Maria Oliver said “Despite the fact that the tourism sector always makes an emphasis in visitor spaces, the reforms are also important for residents and will allow the municipality to remain a point of tourist excellence.”
