It has been 18 months since a ship flying the flag of Congo arrived at the Port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and was loaded with rice husks.
Subsequently, the ship was reported to have been abandoned.
This week the ship was seized by the Port Authority, and it reports it is going to start to transfer all the containers of rice husks from the ship, which have been rotting inside the holds of the vessel.
There is no information about what will now happen to the ship with the Congolese flag.
