The road between La Laguna Grande and the visitor centre of the Garajonay National Park has been closed for a few weeks to enable asphalting works to be completed.
This is a secondary road, although the busiest on the island, and will remain closed from 08.00 in the morning until 18.00 in the evening.
This planned road closure had been previously communicated to the six municipalities, the Garajonay National Park and also to travel agencies and tourism companies.
This road not only provides access to the Garajonay National Park, but also access to El Centro de Visitantes Juego de Bolas and the Mirador de Abrante, which are two important tourist centres of La Gomera.
It is hope to minimise the inconvenience to residents and tourists by carrying out the asphalting work intensively.
