La Palma Waits for a New Telescope

La Palma Waits for a New Telescope

The Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands (IAC) announced that within a few years the Roque de Los Muchachos in La Palma will house the ‘Liverpool 2’ telescope.

This initiative has been led by the John Moores University of Liverpool, which will install the Liverpool Telescope 2 (LT2) in La Palma.

This new telescope for La Palma will optimise the times of observation for the University and will be used for various areas of study.
