Domestic Violence Leads to Arrest in Gran CanariaAn off-duty Policia Nacional officer detained a 41-year-old man on the promenade of Las Canteras Beach in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, when he witnessed him hitting his ex-partner in the face. It is reported that the accused has a history of domestic violence and had been placed under a restraining order.

The police officer observed the man holding the woman by the neck and then hitting her with strong blows to her face. This woman turned out to be his ex-partner, and the man tried to run away from the incident, and even asked other pedestrian for help.

Immediately, the Policia Nacional officer identified himself, and arrested the aggressor on the promenade for crimes of mistreatment of his family and breaching his restraining order.
