Migrant Boat Found Adrift Off Coast of Lanzarote

Migrant Boat Found Adrift Off Coast of LanzaroteA rubber boat with five migrants was noticed off the coast of Lanzarote and the Guardia Civil organised a rescue of these migrants and their boat, and towed it to Las Cucharas beach during the middle of the morning. The rubber boat had five adult males from North Africa and all were in good health.

It is reported that different units of the Guardia Civil held coordinated action, so that a Maritime Rescue boat went to rescue the drifting rubber boat and brought the occupants and boat back to the coast, where other Guardia Civil officers met them and also provided them with medical checks. These migrants were then transferred to Arrecife National Police Station.
