National Police officers have arrested five people, aged between 28 and 39 years, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of belonging to a criminal group specialising in carrying out robberies with violence in shopping centres in Tenerife.
These arrests follow an investigation by the police into several criminal acts that reflected characteristics that were similar during October last year, and suspicions developed that these were linked to an organised criminal gang.
The pattern of these violent attacks focused on a preparation phase when an establishment was selected based on criteria of its location, activity and opening hours to the public to ensure ease of execution and subsequent escape.
