Tegueste has just celebrated the first Insular Day of Environmental Volunteering, to make visible the work that thousands of people on the island do often in an unseen way.
More than 200 volunteers came together, who regularly participate in the exchange of ideas, experiences and projects related to the care for the island, volunteering for civil protection and fire protection, as well as work carried out at the coastline.
This day will lay the foundations for future meetings that will make society reflect on the work done by more than 8,000 volunteers across Tenerife who collaborate with the Government of Tenerife.
