La Encantadora, the reservoir that is located in the Vallehermoso region of La Gomera, is reported to be holding around 750,000 cubic litres of storage water, and is the third reservoir with the largest capacity on the island.
Twenty-four years ago, it was completely empty, and last year reached almost capacity levels for the first time, as reported by the Water Regulatory Board. It currently has a capacity of over 700,000 cubic metres, which covers the urban and agricultural supply, and supports a community of over 200 irrigators.
