The northwest region of La Palma has launched a social inclusion program called 'Training in Green’. This initiative aims to encourage the development of green tourism activities in these municipalities.
It is a project launched jointly by the municipalities of San Andrés y Sauces, Puntallana and Barlovento. Its objective is to use the rural environment of these three municipalities, and their tourist attractions, and turn them into generators of economy and employment.
For this purpose, 30 students will be trained in the development of green tourism activities in order to have qualified personnel that offer a a range of services according to the existing demand. It will be completed through a variety of training activities that will be carried out until the end of the year, concluding with the preparation of a final project.
