This week a diver died from drowning off the coast of Playa Las Coloradas in the municipality of Yaiza in Lanzarote. The local emergency rescue service of Lanzarote EMERLAN were altered at around 10.10 that a boat from a diving centre had sent a message that a diver did not respond to stimuli.
The emergency services transferred the male diver from this diving centre boat to the beach, and medical staff found that he was in cardiorespiratory arrest, and they performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures, but these were not successful in reviving the victim, who was later pronounced dead.
Later, officers of the Guardia Civil too responsibility of the body until the judicial authority arrived at the scene of this incident to transfer the body from the beach area.
