Drug Trafficking Arrests in Gran Canaria

Two men have been arrested this week and accused of drug trafficking in a vehicle check in the Almatriche neighbourhood of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in a report by the Policia Nacional headquarters.

The arrested are aged 33 years and 44 years and both have a police record, and were travelling on a motorcycle. The police officers discovered 12 bags of marijuana with 74 grams, and another bag with 12 grams of cocaine.

The motorcycle driver tried to escape and hit a police officer, who later needed to be taken to a medical centre to deal with minor injuries. During the arrest, the police officers found the accused had 355 euros in bank notes and coins.
