On Saturday, 15 UK tourists were travelling in a tourist bus in the Municipality of Alajero in La Gomera when the bus rolled over. Three of the injured tourists remain in La Gomera, but another has been transferred to Tenerife Hospital.
The injured tourists were admitted to Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Hospital in La Gomera including one who is still under observation, and two tourists were admitted with serious injuries. The tourist transferred to La Candelaria Hospital in Tenerife has trauma in the upper limb, but this is not serious.
The local Ministry of Health released a report that says that the first intervention after the accident was by the 112 Emergency Service and professionals from the health centre at Playa de Santiago, which was the closest to the site of the accident, and 10 tourists were taken to La Gomera Hospital. Later that day, five of these tourists were discharged from hospital.
This incident involved a bus with UK tourists in the area of Arguayoda in the Municipality of Alajero Gomero, but no reason why this bus overturned has been given by local authorities. Thankfully, the injuries appear to have been minor, and emergency services were quick to arrive at the scene of the accident.
