The planned construction of a spa at la Fuente Santa or Holy Spring in La Palma has been delayed due to the impossibility of reaching an agreement with the 90 owners, who share ownership of the land where the resort of the Holy Spring Spa will be built. However, the Government of Canary Islands needs to approve the revision of the Regulations of Conservation of Natural Monuments of Teneguia.
The Government of La Palma reported this week that compulsory purchase of this land was the only method to carry out this important project.
This initiative will be funded by Development Fund of the Canary Islands to begin construction of the spa next year, which aims to become a tourist attraction for La Palma, and could be tendered by the end of the year.
