La Frontera in El Hierro Opens Municipal Library

La Frontera in El Hierro Opens Municipal Library

The Day of the Book was celebrated earlier this week in El Hierro, which was intended to raise awareness of the importance of reading in education, but the most important event to celebrate opportunities to read books was the opening of the La Frontera Municipal Library.

Although many people in the UK report sadness at the closure of many local authority libraries and the services they had offered, the reverse is happening in El Hierro.

The new library will be a welcome resource for all local residents, but especially for the youngest residents, as a new space has been created to serve as a study room.

This new library has also been supported by the Cultural Association El Hoyo, whose members have collaborated closely with the Municipality of La Frontera.
