The school dinners served at CEO Mario Lhermet School in Hermigua in La Gomera use over 100 kilos of organic fruit and vegetables every week for school children and teachers.
This eco-dining room project encourages health living habits, while encouraging the activity of local farmers.
The staff who work each day in the kitchen ensure that the difference between organic products lies in the taste, the colour of the dishes and the durability of the produce.
With a well-developed solidarity tradition, this school centre attempts to give more cohesion to these activities by integrating them into a solidarity project that is integrated into the Canary Islands Network of Solidarity Schools (RCES).
