One of the busiest ports in the Canary Islands is located in the north of Lanzarote and La Graciosa. It is the corridor between the ports of Orzola in Lanzarote and Caleta del Sebo in La Graciosa. The Canary Islands Government is carrying out improvements in both port facilities.
The Vice President and Minister of Public Works of the Government, Pablo Rodriguez, this week visited these works, which include the building of four pontoons with capacity for 70 fishing vessels.
Also, the launching ramp will be changed to improve the operability of the transfer of merchandise between Orzola and La Graciosa, now the 8thCanary Island.
Rodriguez also checked the progress of work in Caleta de Sebo in La Graciosa, and faced demands for improvements to the pavement of the dock esplanade, where last year 400,000 people landed.
