The Municipality of Maspalomas or San Bartolome de Tirajana in Gran Canaria has described statements made by Loro Parque to complain about the delay in processing the licences of the future Maspalomas Siam Park as “serious” and “injurious”.
The Kiessling family who owns Siam Park warned that the viability of the project was “in danger” for the time it is taking for the Municipality to provide permits to begin construction, and that it could take up to three years before the Maspalomas Siam Park is open to the public.
Loro Parque argues that it has already submitted all the necessary documentation for permits for urbanisation, re-parcelling and other issues, but the Municipality says the company now plans to include a road infrastructure.
The Municipality of Maspalomas claims that Loro Parque “lacks the truth” by “calling into question the political and administrative rigour” with which it claims to have “acted in at all times.”
