All school children in Tenerife are now on holiday, and enjoying a well-deserved rest in various summer camps.
However, a unique summer camp for children with diabetes is being held this week in El Rosario in Tenerife. A total of 45 children with diabetes are participating in this summer camp, which seeks to standardise the treatment of the disease, so that children get greater autonomy and learn to manage their diabetes more effectively.
The children are participating in all kinds of sports and leisure activities, but will also receive training with practical workshops on topics related to the treatment of this disease.
