The 22ndTemudas Theatre, Music and Dance Festival begins this week in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which includes street theatre by Xarxa Teatro and La Tal.
‘The Incredible Box’, a work by Catalan street theatre group La Tal, was performed in Plaza del Pilar Nuevo in the Vegueta District.
This street theatre show aimed to entertain all member of the family, and director, Jordi Magdaleno said “this is a comic and visual creation with a very international language, since it has been represented in almost all countries of Europe and even in Japan.”
Also, this week, there were pyrotechnics and music of Fahrenheit Ara Pacis from Xarxa Teatro from the Peninsular that provided ‘earth shaking’ experiences for audiences in Santa Ana Square. This work pays homage to the artists who in ancient time performed plays about absurd wars, and so became a plea for peace, joy and tolerance.
Both of these street theatre companies have participated in previous editions of the Temudas Festival, and this year again both companies won the recognition and applause of audiences.
However, the Temudas Festival continues with more theatre, music and dance across Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
