Casa del Cura in Lanzarote Becomes a Public Centre

After ten years of negotiations, the Government of Lanzarote and the City Council of Haria have purchased the historic home known as Casa del Cura.

The Government paid 600,000 euros for this historic house, and will transfer ownership to the Municipality of Haria. The building will soon host an information centre for the municipality and an area of multi-purpose rooms.

Through an agreement, signed in November 2016 by the Canon of the Tourist Centres to Haria, it was regulated and given legal security after fifty years, and the new relationship between the two institutions now ends previous institutional conflict.
