Tax Agency officials and agents of the Policia Nacional this week seized 371 kilos of cocaine from a sailing boat, and have arrested the two crew members, two men aged 34 years and 36 years, and one with a police record, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of drug trafficking.
The boat, sailing with a British flag, sailed into Spanish territorial waters near the island of Tenerife, and had been monitored since May when it left a Caribbean island, reported in a report by the police.
The patrol boat ‘Charran’ boarded the sailing boat, and transferred it to the port of Los Cristianos in Tenerife, and with a mandatory court order, the sailing boat was searched. This search revealed 371 kilos of cocaine that were placed in different compartments of the boat.
