In the middle of the campaign to collect municipal taxes, the City of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has announced new tax rebates for 2019.
The measures will affect the road tax that goes down to the legal minimum. Also, these newly announced tax reforms will save, in some cases, up to more than one thousand euros of municipal tax for an average of five square metres of properties.
It is reported that large families with five or more children will save up to 90% of the IBI. In the case of families with 3 or 4 children, the reduction is fixed at around 70%.
The Mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Jose Manuel Bermudez, announced that the tax cuts could reach a value of two million euros in 2019. These tax rebates also reported to be made “without neglecting the reorganisation of the municipal treasury, which will have zero debt in 2019, and will not stop increasing investment in public services.”
