The Julio Navarro swimming pool in Doramas Park in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria this week begins remodelling work this summer to offer better services and more public spaces.
This project is linked to the restoration works of the Hotel Santa Catalina, and plans to transfer the current changing rooms of the semi-Olympic pool Roque Diaz to the upper part of the site, construct new changing rooms for children and remodel the current changing rooms for adults.
In addition, the headquarters of the Swimming Club of Las Palmas will have a service building that will have offices, shop and cafeteria, as well as a solarium and multi-purpose rooms.
The current Roque Diaz pool can be used during the development of this project in the rest of the sports complex, and when they have finished, the space occupied by it will be converted into a new garden area for public use.
