August sees the opening of the spa at La Cicer on the beach of Las Canteras in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
This renovation of the La Cicer spa is now completed, which has been demanded by local residents for many years, will soon join the inauguration of the Red Cross Centre and the Library in the city.
The renovations to the La Cicer spa have cost over 300,000 euros, and contributes to the improvement of this area of the beach that began with the demolition of the parking area and the creation of a new pedestrian area.
The new facilities of the spa, of 156 square metres, will be available to around 50 people, and consists of a reception area, office, toilets and a warehouse.
Augusto Hidalgo, Mayor of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, said “The Cicer will have a spa in perfect condition and will be magnificent, in a space that had become a run-down area of Las Canteras, and today is one of the jewels of the city and a wonderful place to walk.”
Pablo Rodriguez, Vice President of the Government of the Canary Islands said “This area has changed radically and today boasts of a high-quality space that has earned its citizenship.”
La Cicer spa is open from 8.00 until 20.00 each day.
