Danish researcher Jorgen Lissner this week reported that he had found a new species of spider that lives in the Garajonay National Park.
This new spider is call Ero tenebrosa and it feeds on other spiders. At the moment, only one specimen – a female – has been found next to the El Cedro stream.
This new spider adds to the 125 species or arachnids that live in the Garajonay National Park, which is a unique forest with a record number of species per square kilometre.
