This week the residents of the town of Teguise in Lanzarote were able to hear the 8 bells of the Church of Guadalupe again after over 100 years.
Most of the bells of this church were destroyed after a fire in 1909, and over recent years, the local community has been working hard to rehang all 8 bells again.
Two of its bells were hung in 2017, and over the past few days the missing bells have been added to the tower of the church to form the full set of 8 bells.
It is reported that five of these bells are especially unique as they are tuned bells with musical pitch.
