This week it was reported that the Government of the Canary Islands is supporting a project for ESO and University students from Gran Canaria, as well as from Tenerife who have been selected from around 300 who are involved in the SIMO Education Technology Education Initiative.
Through this initiative, people with reduced mobility in Gran Canaria transmit to students what their day is like, and after listening to them, the students are tasked to make tools or find solutions to make their lives easier.
This project was first proposed by Coordicanarias, who wanted technology developers to work closely with those who would eventually use the tools or solutions to make this initiative successful.
The next objective is to launch this project across all the Canary Islands.
