The Government of La Gomera this week reported that it had joined the campaigns of Canary Islands Free of Plastics and Ruta 7 that aim to conserve the environment of the island.
This will involve actions that prioritise the minimum presence of plastics in protected areas through regular collections across the island.
This week saw the participants of Ruta 7 working in the area of La Roseta in Alajero in maintenance tasks of trees planted recently.
There was also a focus this week on the collection of waste plastics from beach and coastal areas.
These environmental preservation activities will also be taking part later in Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
