The Government of Fuerteventura this week announced that it has opened the smallest library in the Canary Islands. This is a small wooden house that has been installed on the seafront of the beach of Gran Tarajal.
This library has a simple system of operation of take one book and leave another, and this simplicity is helping to encourage adults and children to read more books when they visit the beach.
This house-shaped library, which does not go unnoticed, is located in Gran Tarajal and the initiative has been very well received by local residents.
It is reported that this is one way to encourage reading, but not just for local residents, as tourists are welcomed to visit this smallest library in the Canary Islands, as they will find books in various languages.
