The University Foundation of Las Palmas has just announced the prize winners for projects that demonstrate innovation and entrepreneurship. After a first pre-selection of 45 projects, 12 were selected to reach the final phase, which consisted of a presentation to a jury that made the final decisions to award four of these projects with a prize of 5,375 euros each.
Therefore, 4 Canarian entrepreneurs will now be able to launch their projects.
David Macias created Mofuvideo, a program to create videos in record time, and sharing your screen, webcam and microphone.
Francisco Bora Garnica created ACACE, a software program to reduce the costs for Canarian e-commerce shipments, reduce the tariffs of parcel suppliers and enable users to create a company headquarters at the planned destination.
Fayna Mendoza created Yonogluten.es, an online store dedicated to the sale of gluten-free food.
Gerardo Morales created Wimmic, a program to create videos for satellite communications in moving vehicles.
These projects will now receive their grant to start up their business ideas, with initiatives that incorporate relevant aspects of the digital field, to create employment in the Canary Islands and help boost the talent of local residents.
