After 16 years of closure, the Casa de Cultura in Mogan in Gran Canaria will reopen in 2020, after agreement was signed between the Ministry of Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Municipality of Mogan.
The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands will allocate 1,806,887 euros to complete the construction of this Casa de Cultura, which is an infrastructure that has been paralysed since 2002.
The Mayor of Mogan, Onalia Bueno, thanked the Government of the Canary Islands and said, “This is an agreement that will make it possible for us to have in the centre of the historic centre an infrastructure that is going to be a beacon of culture that will give an added value to the Municipality.
The objective of this project is to house a theatrical space as the main theme, as well as for teaching and development of different disciplines.
