La Palma starts the autumn season with its reservoirs at 47% capacity.
This is good news for the agricultural sector, as there is already a good capacity of water supply before the rainy season for the island starts.
However, the Insular Council of Water has made an appeal to farmers to continue to make prudent use of water when irrigating their crops. It also explains that there is capacity in reservoirs to receive more rainfall soon, but it is not known when these rain storms will arrive accurately, so it is necessary to optimise the existing water supply.
