Car Collision in Lanzarote Leaves Victims Trapped

One woman has been seriously injured and two others have suffered moderate injuries as a result of a collision of two cars late at night in the municipality of San Bartolome de Lanzarote.

Firefighters had to release the victims from the interior of their vehicles where they were trapped, and the worst affected was a 30-year-old woman who was diagnosed with severe head trauma. When released from the vehicle, these victims were transferred to Doctor Jose Molina Orosa Hospital in the island’s capital, Arrecife. Other victims were a 24-year-old woman and a 43-year-old woman who both presented moderate internal injuries.

This traffic accident occurred at 22.00 on the LZ-301 at the junction of Guime in the municipality of San Bartolome, and officers of the Guardia Civil were quickly at the scene of the accident.
