The municipality of Arona in Tenerife hosted its sixth annual meeting for different religious communities. This municipality includes residents that represent 130 nationalities, and these annual meetings aim to seek peace in the world by meeting together with prayers reflect a mix of religions, and set an example of cohabitation and union.
From the Hindu Association to the Baha’i, all religious communities of Arona came together this week to participate in joint prayers for respect, peace and understanding.
The intercultural programme of the European Union Council has been interested in this initiative, and during April, representatives will travel to Tenerife to learn more about this initiative.
