Maintaining the Footpaths and Trails of Fuerteventura

Maintaining the Footpaths and Trails of Fuerteventura

In order to maintain the network of footpaths and trails across Fuerteventura in good condition, the public company Gesplan will carry out maintenance work over the next two years to improve this network of trails, which is very popular with tourists.

Fuerteventura has over 250 kilometres of tracks organised in a network of trails that cross the island from north to south. One of these is Lajares, and this week Minster Nieves Lady Barreto and President of the Fuerteventura Government, Marcial Morales visited one trail where Gesplan staff were working to maintain the quality and access of trails and to check and repair signage needed to guide walkers and hikers.
