A conference was held this week in Lanzarote to raise awareness of children who can become addicted to new technologies. This is intended to help families and teachers to identity and help to avoid children’s addiction to social networks, such as Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat.
It is reported that one in five children in Lanzarote are currently addicted to new technology. Parents and teachers were told that indicators of this problem could be not being able to stand in places without mobile coverage, sacrificing activities, such as going out with friends or not controlling the hours that are spent on the Internet or with mobile devices.
