This week saw the second meeting of Cuban residents in the Canary Islands in Haria in Lanzarote, and this began with the Cuban national anthem. The Cuban Ambassador to Spain, Gustavo Machin, was present at this event to support the unity of the 30,000 Cubans who now live in the Canary Islands.
This meeting addressed various current issues related to Cuba, including the current blockade of Cuba and updates on migration policy.
It was also announced that the next meeting of Residents of Cuba in Spain and the fifth national meeting will be held on 19 May in Gran Canaria.
