The Air Europa Company this week announced that it would begin its inter-island flights between Tenerife North and La Palma in the last week of March with an offer of 4700 seats available each week.
This new route is the second phase of inter-island flights offered by Air Europa across other Canary Islands routes, which began on 30 October 2017 with routes between Gran Canaria and Tenerife North, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, which up to February, the company reports, has transported over 91,000 passengers.
Air Europa will now operate five daily round trip flights from Tenerife North to La Palma, so that the first will take off at 07.10 and the last will land at 20.50, except on Wednesdays and Sundays, which will arrive at 20.15. This route will be covered with an ATR 72-500 plane with capacity for 68 passengers.
The next phase of introducing more inter-island flights by Air Europa will be completed in June with more frequent flights between Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. There will be three daily flights between Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, and between Gran Canaria and Lanzarote the daily frequencies will be doubled, with six daily flights from Monday to Friday and five at weekends.
Once Air Europa completes this next phase, the airline will operate more than 300 weekly flights with a total of 21,900 seats. The final phase of this increased flights from this company will mainly focus on opening new routes and increase the current frequency of flight starting in 2019.
