Social networks have been filled this week with comments from women who claim to have suffered sexual harassment when they worked or gone to look for work by the owner of a bar in the zona del cuadrilatero in La Laguna in Tenerife. One of these social network users has now filed a police complaint and an investigation has been opened.
Messages of denunciation have flooded the networks, especially from the feminist collective 'La Fury'. Comments suggest open sexual harassment, and in others alleged propositions and rubbing against women while they worked at the bar.
The General Directorate of Labour has opened a file of investigation, and if there is an administrative infraction, financial sanctions against the owner of the bar could range from 6000 euros to 187,000 euros.
The owner’s lawyer claims that his client denies everything. and that so far he has not been called to appear before police authorities.
