It was announced this week that officers of the Guardia Civil arrested a 41-year-old passenger who arrived at Gran Canaria Airport from Madrid, but appeared to hiding 97 capsules of hashish inside his body.
The passenger aroused suspicion from police officers when he arrived at Gran Canaria Airport as a possible carrier of narcotic substances, but the passenger denied carrying any drugs. He was then taken to the Insular Hospital of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for various radiological tests.
After spending five days in the hospital, he ‘expelled’ 97 capsules of hashish also known as acorns with a total weight of 984 grams. He was then brought before a court in Telde.
