Two new photovoltaic parks in Puerto del Rosario and Tuineje are planned, and currently in the process of requesting administrative authorisation and environmental impact assessments.
Several companies have requested authorisation for the installation of more than 40,000 photovoltaic modules in Tuineje and Puerto del Rosario in Fuerteventura.
These new installations will be large parks located in the centre and south of Fuerteventura. In Puerto del Rosario, the photovoltaic plant would have over 36,000 solar panels, and in Tuineje in the area of La Fuentita, the photovoltaic plant would have over 5,000 modules. Both of these would produce over 13 megawatts.
This is part of the Government of Fuerteventura’s commitment to introduce more clean energy.
