A new film by Gran Canaria filmmaker, Mateo Gil, was screened this week in a unique environment – the Gran Telescopio Canarias in La Palma. This film is called ‘The Laws of Thermodynamics’ and creates a documentary that hopes to explain thermodynamics simply and with humour.
Science and cinema have come together to make and project a feature film that unites both worlds, and Mateo Gil’s new film creation marks a change from his usual scripts.
During the screening, contributions of various scientists helped to channel the plot, and will be screened again at Astrofest 2018.
‘The Laws of Thermodynamics’ is the fourth feature film by Gil, who has four Goya awards as screenwriter and director of short films.
