Wire Mesh Replaced in La Gomera to Avoid Landslides

Wire Mesh Replaced in La Gomera to Avoid Landslides

The Government of La Gomera this week announced that it has awarded the contract for replacing the wire meshes at the side of the GM-1 highway between Vallehermoso and Epina.

This replacement of wire mesh across the steep cliffs by the side of this road is important, as any rock falls or landslides following heavy rainstorms could cause accidents and create problems for drivers that regularly use this important route.

This project has an investment of almost 150,000 euros.
