This week, the non-government organisation ‘Unidos por ti’ said it was shocked that food had been stolen from its store, which is distributed to over 800 local disadvantaged families and homeless people in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The robbery took place during the celebration of the Baile de Magos fiesta.
The robbers forced open a window and accessed the interior of the store and stole a large quantity of food, including 50 boxes of oil and a similar number of boxes of milk.
This stolen food was going to the delivered to many homeless people and disadvantaged families, and this theft has depleted its normal stock.
