This couple also keep a record of all those who come to their home for meals, and since they started seven years ago, they have helped over 31,000 people.

Hweng Kwon was a ship’s captain, businessman and professor of Korean at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He has three children who have now left the island. Now, he is retired, but he invests all this time in helping the most in need in his city.

Hweng Kwon says that he and his wife do this to return everything they have received from Canarian society over the last 45 years.
