The Contemporary Art Forum of Los Llanos de Aridane has this week been displaying local art works in Senegal, and a central element of this art display has been ‘La Busqueda’ by Julio Nieto that is exhibited at the entrance to the City Hall of Dakar in Senegal.
This was made possible by the project supported by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of La Palma, the Government of the Canary Islands, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Spain in Senegal.
This art work is translated as ‘The Search’ and is made from stainless steel and part of a collection at La Palma City Museum, where there is a permanent outdoor exhibition, and works of art hang from the facades of buildings in Los Llanos de Aridane.
This art sculpture will be on display in Dakar in Senegal for one month and then return to his home location in La Palma.
