Three people have been detained by the Policia Nacional in San Isidro in Tenerife for allegedly having committed crimes of recruitment, cover up and financing of Islamist terrorism.
These defendants still have to testify before the judge of the National Court, and normally within a period of 72 hours from the date of their arrest, however the court has requested that this period be extended to five days.
According to police sources, there is no obligation to declare in person in Madrid for these detainees, so they could be subjected to questioning by video conferencing facilities.
However, the jihadist who was going to fight in Syria remains missing in Tenerife, and police are still searching for him.
